After a year of nonstop work, this was the slow, enjoyable morning I needed. Transport from Ollantaytambo was surprisingly comfortable: a clean minibus, generous legroom, and a small cooler with water. Our guide spotted a torrent duck and a motmot before we reached Machu Picchu, explaining their calls without rushing us. The early departure made the price feel fair, especially with hotel pickup and a relaxed return. The only catch was the chilly start—bring a light jacket. Great value for bird lovers wanting comfort, not a rushed visit.

Zu meinem Geburtstag haben wir zu zweit die Vogelbeobachtung von Ollantaytambo nach Machu Picchu gemacht – ruhig, spannend und bestens organisiert. Unser Guide Luis kannte jede Ecke und erklärte nicht nur die Vögel, sondern auch alte Inka-Wasserwege. Besonders schön: Er entdeckte kurz vor Sonnenaufgang einen Andenkondor, noch bevor wir ihn sahen. Der Fahrer war pünktlich um 4:30 Uhr da, und alle Absprachen klappten entspannt. Eine sehr persönliche Tour, die wir lange in Erinnerung behalten.

Vogelbeobachtung mit viel Wissen und perfekter Organisation

Depuis Ollantaytambo, tout s’est déroulé sans stress : le minibus était propre, climatisé et spacieux pour nos sacs. Notre chauffeur conduisait doucement sur la route sinueuse, avec une pause café à Chinchero. Le trajet jusqu’à Aguas Calientes était agréable. Sur place, l’observation nous a offert de belles vues sur les montagnes brumeuses et la forêt humide autour de Machu Picchu. On a même aperçu un quetzal près d’un eucalyptus. Pour notre anniversaire, c’était parfait.
