We will begin our adventure early in the morning, picking you up directly from your hotel in the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo, before heading out on the scenic route to Quillabamba.

Our first stop of the day will be the remarkable Las Peñas archaeological site, located just 15 kilometers away. Here, you will not only explore fascinating Inca ruins, but also have the chance to observe endemic bird species like the Chestnut-breasted Mountain-finch and the White-tufted Sunbeam.

Next, our journey leads us to the breathtaking Abra Panticalla, where birdwatching continues amidst the dramatic scenery of the high Andes. Reaching a height of 4,316 meters above sea level, the Abra Málaga Pass is a true haven for nature enthusiasts and bird lovers alike.

Throughout the excursion, you’ll have the opportunity to spot an astounding variety of bird species, including the Inca Wren, Unstreaked Tit-tyrant, Cuzco Brushfinch, Rusty-fronted Canastero, Marcapata Spinetail, Creamy-crested Spinetail, Urubamba Antpitta, Red-and-white Antpitta, Gray-breasted Mountain-Toucan, and Junin Canastero.
