Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain Trek Day Tour In Cusco

In the early hours of the morning, our team will pick you up from your hotel in the city of Cusco to begin a scenic 3.5-hour drive to the southeastern part of the Cusco Valley. Along the way, you'll enjoy a complete breakfast featuring fresh fruits, bread, cereal, eggs, and your choice of coffee or tea.

Once we arrive, we’ll embark on a trek alongside a picturesque stream. During the hike, you’ll encounter fascinating wildlife such as alpacas, llamas, chinchillas, and vicuñas. After approximately 1.5 hours of trekking, we will reach our main destination, where you’ll be greeted by breathtaking views of the colorful mountains. Immerse yourself in the natural wonder of this unique landscape, which spans over nine thousand hectares.

The Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain stands at an altitude of 5,020 m (16,466 ft.) and is situated near the renowned Ausangate Mountain in the Andes Mountains. You’ll have ample time to take photos and explore the extraordinary surroundings of this incredible location.

Following your visit, we will begin a 2-hour downhill hike to where our transportation awaits to return to the city of Cusco. On the way back, we’ll stop to savor a traditional Peruvian lunch at a local restaurant in the town of Cusipata. Signature ingredients of Andean cuisine include alpaca and trout, as well as potatoes, quinoa, rice, and various vegetables.
