Reservar la excursión fue sorprendentemente fácil: escribí por WhatsApp con mil preguntas (era nuestro aniversario y viajaba con mi hija adolescente) y respondieron rápido, claro y sin venderme humo. Nos recogieron temprano en Cusco y el camino hasta Soraypampa ya fue un espectáculo: montañas doradas, llamas y nubes rozando los cerros. La subida a Humantay exige pulmones, pero las paradas del guía ayudaron (y mi hija me ganó solo por cinco minutos). La laguna turquesa, con hielo en las orillas, parecía de otro planeta. Volvimos cansadas, felices y con fotos épicas.

Our van arrived at 4:25 a.m., exactly as promised, and the guide already had our breakfast bags ready. The hike to Humantay Lake was beautifully organized, punctual, and genuinely fun for our family’s first international trip.

Depois de um ano puxado, fizemos a excursão à Lagoa Humantay e descansamos de verdade. O grupo tinha só nove pessoas, então o clima ficou tranquilo e houve tempo para conversar com o guia. Além da caminhada, tivemos café da manhã em Mollepata, almoço caseiro e paradas para fotos; nossa guia ainda explicou as plantas locais. Levamos bastões e folhas de coca, úteis na subida. Voltamos cansados, mas muito felizes.

Für unseren Hochzeitstag haben wir die Humantay-Lagune ab Cusco gebucht – und waren angenehm überrascht, wie reibungslos alles lief. Die Abholung kam tatsächlich um 4:30 Uhr vor unser Hotel; unser Fahrer Luis meldete sich vorher per WhatsApp. Im Kleinbus mit verstellbaren Sitzen und genügend Beinfreiheit konnten wir sogar noch etwas dösen. Unterwegs gab es eine kurze Pause in Mollepata, wo Kaffee und Toiletten organisiert waren. Der Ablauf war klar erklärt, niemand hetzte uns beim Aufstieg. Auch die Rückfahrt fühlte sich sicher an, obwohl wir müde waren. Für uns als Rentner war diese zuverlässige Planung Gold wert.

Pour notre anniversaire, on a choisi l’excursion à la lagune de Humantay depuis Cusco. Dès le départ, le minibus était étonnamment confortable, avec des sièges inclinables et une pause petit-déjeuner dans un village tranquille. La randonnée s’est faite sans stress grâce au guide, qui adaptait le rythme et nous a prêté des bâtons. En plus de la lagune, on a profité d’explications sur les plantes andines, de photos de groupe et d’un déjeuner chaud au retour.
